Hello friend,
My name is Sonia the Little Witch.
Despite the name, I do not own a broomstick, a black cat and I do not run naked in the woods, wearing nothing but a black cape. (Although I have nothing against those that do!)
Sonia is a derivative of Sophia (from Greek: wisdom). I used to be called Love (literally), but then love met sorrow and so wisdom was born.
One day a friend told me: ‘Sonia, how did you know all that? You must be a witch!’ And this is how ‘witch’ came about and stayed.
I added ‘little’ later as a reminder that true spirituality should not be ego-driven.
I am not a psychic, but I am a highly sensitive person and an empath as defined by Dr Elaine Aaron in her book of the same title.
I am not Gandalf The White, not even Gandalf The Grey (but I do live in New Zealand). Rather, I am a certified Tarot Reader and Evolutionary Astrologer, forever growing and learning. Here I offer my services.
Welcome!

Yoga
It all started as a gentle way to stretch my aching body (twisted into a pretzel after reading sociological research papers for my university degree) while listening to Yogiraj Alan Finger saying something about eyes being heavy as ripe avocado fruit hanging low. Funny, that degree didn’t last, but yoga did and in 2018 I completed my yoga teacher training certificate in Prague.
Reading... en masse!
From Psychology to Classic novels, from Art, Poetry and Dance to inspirational Auto/Biographies. I am eternally grateful to the Gods of Invention for coming up with the e-reader. Now, when other people sleep, I read.
La langue française
… that I fell in love with inexplicably and irrevocably at the humble age of 5, thinking that this is the missing puzzle piece to marrying Alan Delon. Toujours une débutante, I continue taking courses, listening to short podcasts and watching episodes of Dix Pour Cent.
Playing piano
A childhood dream that took ‘only’ 30 odd years to come together. And now our neighbours are listening to some good quality music. Think ‘Brother John’ or the all time favourite ‘Jingle Bells’.
